General Information
NYE 2004 will be July 22-25 on the campus of the University of Tennessee (UT) in Knoxville, Tennessee. Registration begins at 10am on Thursday, July 22. The event opens with dinner on Thursday followed by Opening Worship and concludes around midnight on Sunday. Monday, July 26 is a travel day. Regular registration fee is . Please see more details on the "Registration" page. This fee covers all program access, housing the nights of July 22-25, 10 meals beginning with evening July 22 through evening July 25. No breakfast is included on the 26th.
The theme is "The E Attitude", based on Romans 12:2, with daily themes of Embrace, Enlighten, Encourage, Empower. We expect 3500-4000 participants. We will have worship, bible study, speakers, music, workshops, service opportunities, all kinds of after-hours activities from full access to campus recreational facilities to coffeehouses, games, concerts, interest groups and more. There will also be an exhibit area with displays from ministry partners like Council for Higher Education, UCC colleges and universities, UCC Outdoor Ministries, etc. We will also have an Extravaganza on Saturday afternoon where local/conference groups and ministry partners are invited to share their ministries with the gathering. We will welcome Ken Medema as our Main Stage presenter.
Youth participant ages defined by the denomination by-laws are "twelve to eighteen and not graduated from high school." However, those seniors graduated in 2004 are encouraged to attend. Conference youth ministry guidelines will be in effect so check with your conference office regarding age and supervision policies.
